Job Summary
Intensive practice in academic essay writing as part of ENG1100: Workshop in Essay Writing. Emphasis on grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, essay organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources. Frequent written exercises and development of composition skills. Use of Writing Centre resources required outside regular class hours. Part-Time Professor position at University of Ottawa, with online component (Course scheduled Mondays 14:30-17:30). Must hold a Ph.D in English or equivalent experience; research expertise and publications in area strongly preferred. Teaching duties begin Fall 2026; evidence of scholarly activity and commitment to diversity and inclusion are encouraged.
