Job Summary
Part-Time Regular Professor ENG1100: Workshop in Essay Writing. Intensive practice in academic essay writing with emphasis on grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources. Frequent written exercises and development of composition skills. Use of Writing Centre resources required outside regular class hours. Teaching schedule includes Tuesday 14:30-16:00 and Friday 16:00-17:30 at the Main Campus, Ottawa, Ontario. Ph.D (English) strongly preferred; equivalence accepted. An inclusive, accessible environment is emphasized with training required per provincial law. APTPUO collective agreements apply. Start date in Fall term with 3-credit course; regular pay rate is $239.47/hour (2024-2025), with annualized compensation reflected accordingly.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D (English) Research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred
- An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience
- Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training
