Job Summary
Introduction to Community Engagement (AHL2300) is offered as a regular part-time Professor position at the University of Ottawa. The course will be taught in person on Mondays 8:30-11:30 as part of a 39-hour work period for the Fall 2026 semester. The role requires experience teaching experiential learning, community service or community engagement at the university level, including collaboration with the Michaëlle-Jean Centre, and evidence of critical/reflexive methodologies. Candidates should have Ph.D. studies in a related field with demonstrated expertise, and a strong commitment to volunteering and community engagement. Required Qualifications
- Experience of successful teaching experiential learning, community service or community engagement courses at the university level
- Experience of successfully teaching university-level courses with an imbedded experiential learning component in collaboration with the Michaëlle-Jean Centre
- Ph.D. studies in a field related to social engagement and social entrepreneurship, with evidence of expertise in critical and reflexive methodologies
- Evidence of strong commitment to volunteering, community service and community engagement, as demonstrated through C.V.
