Job Summary
Two part-time regular professor positions at the University of Ottawa in the Faculté des arts / Faculty of Arts, for 19.5-hour per week engagement each, teaching a course on Initiation aux études contemplatives et le bien-être (in French) with web-conference format; strong emphasis on university-level teaching of contemplative studies and humanities perspectives, supervision of students in contemplative practices (e.g., meditation, lectio divina, contemplative art, labyrinth walking), and preference for candidates whose research aligns with mindfulness or contemplative studies and has relevant academic publications; the assignment is framed within the Interdisciplinary Study in Arts unit, with consideration of adherence to collective agreements and mandatory provincial trainings; applicants are invited from diverse backgrounds and to apply through the university system; bilingual, inclusive, accessible work environment are highlighted; explicit note that rates apply until new collective agreement is ratified, with retro payments upon ratification; two positions available (2x19.5 hours, 2x1.5 credits) and the course will be offered online via web conference; teaching requires demonstrated successful university-level instruction and student supervision in contemplative practices.
Required Qualifications
