Job Summary
Maintenance QC Inspector on the APS-4 program in Camp Carroll, Korea. Inspects and validates tactical wheel vehicles, track vehicles, engineer commodities, and other inbound/outbound equipment; verifies quality in the conduct of Engineering Changes, MWOs, MAMs, and SOUMs. Collaborates with management, leads, and mechanics to improve the quality process, ensures proper use of automated maintenance systems, and maintains maintenance documentation. Proactively identifies discrepancies and bottlenecks using scheduled/unscheduled inspections, quality metrics, Six Sigma methodology, and ISO 9001:2015 QMS. Ensures development and adherence to plans, procedures, work instructions, and quality records; ensures corrective actions are tracked to completion via the Corrective Action System. Performs initial, random, and final inspections; provides support for Key Leader Engagements (KLE), equipment issue/receiving for unit draws, and contingency operation draw exercises. Utilizes GCSS-A and LIW to obtain and validate required maintenance information. Requires US citizenship, valid passport, ability to obtain US EXPAT SOFA status, and ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments with lifting and space constraints. Emphasizes Zero Harm safety culture and compliance with safety/environmental regulations.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen with a valid U.S. Passport
- Ability to provide documentation to qualify as US EXPAT Invited Contractor Status and SOFA Visa IAW USFK 700-19 Regulation
- Valid State Motor Vehicle Operator License
- High School/GED plus seven years of directly related work experience in maintenance and repair of U.S. Army tactical wheel and track vehicles, including MRAPs
- Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, and work orders
- Favorable adjudication of an NACI background check
- Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level and 35 pounds to shoulder height
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Required to pass initial and periodic drug screening
