Job Summary
APRN will extend the patient care and administrative services for UAMS physicians in both inpatient and outpatient settings. APP will be expected to provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, perform procedures, and prescribe medicines and treatments. The APRN will manage health issues for patients, independently or in collaboration with designated physicians, and will coordinate multidisciplinary care across settings. The role requires autonomous practice as well as collaboration with a variety of professionals, maintaining accurate EMR documentation, supporting billing and coding, participating in quality improvement, and advocating for patient-centered care and resources.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree
- Two (2) years nursing experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN License, or PA with State Medical Board
- Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment
