Job Summary
Rotate with attending physicians through all orthopedic subspecialties, assisting surgeons with clinics, operating rooms, and post-operative rounds. Manage postoperative outpatient care, answer telephone inquiries, fill prescriptions, and perform assessments and treatments for actual or potential patient problems. Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care, facilitate consults, and serve as an interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate while extending physician services. Work autonomously and collaboratively to diagnose and manage health care problems.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a Master's in Nursing
- Valid Licenses as a Registered Nurse and APRN by the State of Arkansas
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Valid license as a PA by the State of Arkansas
- Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e., scales, procedure equipment, needles, blood pressure equipment, and EKG machines)
- Must have normal communication and sensory requirements
- Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
