Job Summary
APRN or PA sought to join Watson Clinic's Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team at Lakeland Highlands Hospital for comprehensive pre-operative optimization, risk assessment, and perioperative management. Responsibilities include performing H&Ps, ordering/reviewing pre-operative tests, coordinating cardiology/pulmonology clearances, managing home medications (including anticoagulants/diabetes therapies), educating patients on preoperative instructions and perioperative plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and documenting findings in the EHR to support safe surgical readiness. Requires Florida APRN/PA license and national certification, with strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient-education abilities. Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends; competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Current Florida APRN or PA license
- National certification as an APRN or PA-C
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Experience in perioperative, surgical, primary care, internal medicine, hospital medicine, or related settings preferred
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
