Job Summary
Conduct post-operative clinic evaluations, wound care, and follow-ups for patients discharged 2-3 days post-op. Perform hospital consults for orthopedic trauma and inpatient cases at the Level 1 Trauma Center. Collaborate with surgeons to formulate treatment plans, manage symptom side effects, and oversee the survivorship clinic program. Assist with admissions and operate in the Operation Room when necessary. Work full-time Monday through Friday with a mutually agreed-upon call schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution
- Current licensure in state of Kentucky as an APRN
- National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
- Current DEA certificate without restriction
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to critically think through complex patient situations
