Job Summary
APRN Clinic: Nurse Practitioner provides physician-supported oncology care at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute. Responsibilities include assessing patients, writing prescriptions, determining clinical-trial eligibility, interpreting test results, maintaining patient records, participating in daily rounds, providing on-call coverage, and aiding in staff training. Requires NP master’s degree (or post-master NP certificate), Florida NP license with prescriptive privileges or eligibility, and ongoing certification (AANP/ANCC/ONCC). Strong collaboration, communication, leadership, and time-management skills are essential; ability to work across FCS locations and adhere to HIPAA and safety requirements; background screenings and vaccinations are part of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- master’s degree in nursing or post-masters NP certificate
- Current Florida NP license/prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply
- Certification from AANP, ANCC, or ONCC
- BLS certification
