Job Summary
Perform complete psychiatric evaluations for new clients within facility policy and DCF licensing standards. Ensure all staff notes and documentation are completed on time per billing company requirements. Assist the physician in providing medical protocols and monitor prescribed drugs and medically necessary pharmaceutical services. Make recommendations for follow-up services and refer clients to specialists when addiction treatment center providers cannot meet medical needs. Ensure drug utilization reviews are appropriately conducted and documented per policy. Implement and maintain policies to ensure client confidentiality and communicate rights and responsibilities to agency clients and providers. Monitor coordination of care for medically necessary services delivered within and outside the agency. Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards in a temperature-controlled environment. Full background clearance and urinalysis required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed APRN in the State of Florida, with unrestricted licenses to practice medicine
- Minimum of 2 years experience
- Licensed APRN in the State of Florida
- Extensive substance abuse medical treatment experience specifically inpatient detoxification
- Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
- Ability to work with computers
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work under immediate supervision
- Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the discipline
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Client Confidentiality laws
- Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies
- Knowledge of Workplace Violence
- Full Background Clearance
- Urinalysis
