Job Summary
Review waste profiles, SDS, and WIP documents to approve hazardous and non-hazardous materials for disposal while ensuring compliance with permits and regulatory policies. Identify and resolve off-specification waste issues in FMS and Salesforce systems, conduct pre-acceptance audits of labpack shipments, and assign pricing codes and laboratory testing parameters to waste streams. Maintain approval data in the database, track individual profiles to meet incineration schedules, and provide technical support for incineration and landfill operations. Offer constructive input on policy changes and assist facility staff with technical training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related discipline
- 5 to 6 years in the hazardous waste industry or related work experience
- OSHA HAZWOPER Certification
- Chemical/waste analysis expertise
- Knowledge of FMS and Salesforce systems
- Attention to detail and safety focus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
