Job Summary
Apprentice role assisting UPS Field Service Engineers and Technicians with commissioning, maintenance and repair of UPS equipment, fault finding and rectification, on-site service activities at customer sites, and completion of the Vertiv training programme. The apprenticeship includes keeping training records, working toward a qualified UPS Field Service Engineer or Customer Service Engineer designation, learning back-office processes, and adhering to HSE and quality procedures while developing hands-on experience in secure power and data centre infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Four GCSEs at A-C or equivalent (two in Maths and English)
- Full clean UK driving license
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction and long-term customer relation building and retention
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Good ICT skills
- Self-motivated and capable of operating with minimal supervision
- Ability to interface with various departments and personnel in potentially stressful situations
- Good mechanical aptitude and sense of ownership
