Job Summary
Apprentice Truck Driver at WM (Waste Management) works with a seasoned WM Driver/Trainer to train on operating a commercial refuse/recycling vehicle after obtaining a Commercial Driving Permit. The role includes performing pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting safety issues, coordinating with Dispatch, assisting with loading/unloading and route completion, and participating in scheduled training. The position is on-site in Bismarck, ND, offering a pay range of $22.00–$31.00 per hour and benefits such as medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, and education assistance; must meet age, English proficiency, and CDL permit prerequisites and may require pre-employment drug testing and a physical.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Commercial or Non-commercial Driver's License Class C or D
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
