Job Summary

Receive repair orders from dispatch and perform work with efficiency and accuracy per factory standards. Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed components and examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or requested by the customer. Advise the Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if outlined work is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Inform the dispatcher when jobs are started, finished, or interrupted, with particular attention to "RUSH" or "CUSTOMER WAITING" orders. Road-test vehicles to quality-check work and report discrepancies to the Service Manager. Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of technical bulletins. Maintain documentation of all work performed and ensure customer vehicles remain clean. Keep the shop area neat, clean, and free of safety hazards while complying with all regulatory disposal standards. Report any accidents immediately to a Manager or Supervisor.
