Job Summary
Apprentice Technician needed in Detroit/Monroe, MI to troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade cranes and heavy hoists at customer sites. Responsibilities include on-call and after-hour availability, performing OSHA-required inspections and generating inspection reports, coordinating with Service/Branch Managers, operating tools and vehicles safely, collaborating in a team environment, attending trainings, and participating in the 5 Marks program. Must be physically capable of handling up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally, with frequent climbing, reaching, bending, and other strenuous activity; travel 20-50% and various shifts including overtime may be required. Prefers Vocational/Technical training and some electrical/mechanical knowledge; pre-employment drug test and background checks required.
Required Qualifications
- 0 - 2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility
- Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
- Must always commit to working and driving safely
- Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team
