Job Summary
Apprentice Teacher role providing hands-on classroom experience and training to become a full-time teacher. Responsibilities include observing and learning from Master Teachers, co-teaching with teacher-leaders, providing substitute teaching coverage, tutoring students, grading, and small group instruction; potentially teaching a class or groups, planning and delivering instruction, developing mentoring relationships, coordinating enrichment, and supporting teachers with assessments and classroom duties. Regular coaching meetings to implement feedback, participation in staff orientation/training, and opportunities to become a strong candidate for full-time teaching positions by year’s end. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; prior experience in schools is preferred but not required; Bachelor’s degree required; compensation around $45,000 with benefits.
