Job Summary
Apprentice Teacher role provides hands-on classroom experience for individuals with limited or no teaching experience, including observing Master Teachers, co-teaching with teacher-leaders, providing substitute coverage, tutoring students, grading, and small-group instruction. May teach a class or small groups, plan and deliver instruction, participate in enrichment activities, mentor students, and engage in regular coaching and professional development with an instructional coach. By year’s end, candidates should be strong for full-time teaching positions. Qualifications emphasize drive to improve students’ lives, self-motivation, teamwork, strong organizational and communication skills with children, and a Bachelor's degree by start date. Compensation includes $45,000 with comprehensive benefits; location is Honeoye Falls, NY. Educational background notes a Bachelor’s degree is required; background in education not required, but demonstrated passion for working with K-12 students is valued.
