Job Summary
Teach classes on behalf of Deans and teacher-leaders, provide substitute coverage, and potentially lead small groups or advisory periods. Support students with daily one-on-one tutoring, small group interventions, and behavior management while assisting with grading, assessments, and curriculum implementation. Observe Master Teachers regularly to refine instructional techniques and meet with coaches for feedback on lessons. Participate in collaborative grade-level activities, coordinate enrichment classes, and supervise students during transitions and meals. Complete a three-week staff orientation and engage in ongoing professional development to develop skills for a full-time teaching position.

- A strong candidate will possess strong organizational skills, communication skills (particularly with children), and problem solving skills
- Relentless commitment to mission of educating urban students
- Belief in and alignment with Uncommon's core beliefs and educational philosophy is non-negotiable
- By the time that employment begins, candidates must have received a Bachelor's degree from a College or University
- Prior experience working in schools and/or urban communities
