Apprentice Service Technician

Job Summary
Perform daily and operational activities in the service department, including troubleshooting equipment failures, diagnosing noise or vibration, and executing repairs on engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components. Disassemble machines, order parts, assemble units, and verify all leaks are resolved before returning equipment to work-ready status. Clean parts, scrape gaskets, and prepare components for assembly while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Travel to jobsites and vendor training sessions as needed. Complete the 24-month apprenticeship program comprising week-long training sessions and on-the-job instruction. Maintain excellent customer service and work independently with limited supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 year technical degree
- comparable military training
- minimum of 2 years' experience in the heavy equipment industry
- experience in a related field
- good working knowledge of equipment operations
- mechanical functions
- ability to stoop

- ability to pull
- ability to twist
- ability to carry
- ability to lift up to 70lbs
- ability to climb
- ability to perform work on heights of 15 feet
- ability to work in all types of weather conditions
