Apprentice Purchaser

Apprentice Purchaser role in our Colchester Head Office supporting the purchasing team. Learn fundamentals of purchasing operations with on-the-job training and a structured learning programme (minimum 20% off-the-job training). Responsibilities include raising purchase orders for unfulfilled sales orders, ensuring PO completeness and accuracy, contacting suppliers for pricing and delivery dates, processing delivery notes, handling internal and supplier queries, developing supplier relationships, maintaining records, tracking PO due dates, and following company Health & Safety, Quality, and HR policies. Ideal applicants are motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, organized, with good written and verbal communication, and a positive, proactive attitude. Offers a nationally recognised Level 3 apprenticeship, full structured training, exposure to procurement processes, and potential career progression within Sportsafe.
