Job Summary
Assist licensed plumbers with residential repairs, installations, and new construction plumbing in light commercial environments. Participate in weekly evening apprenticeship classes and complete assigned homework. Assemble, install, repair pipes, fittings, fixtures, water heating equipment, and drainage systems while adhering to codes and manufacturer specifications. Maintain company vehicles, follow safety policies, and respect customer property. This 4-year program includes time compensation for hourly and overtime work. Starting salary ranges from $15 to $25 per hour. The Westlake Group, comprising Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Westlake Plumbing, serves residential and light commercial clients across central Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- 1-2 years plumbing or other trade experience
- Desire to learn, ability to follow detailed instructions
- Problem solving skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly, accessing small and confining spaces of attics, crawlspaces, mechanical areas that require crawling and climbing
- Apprentice License

- GED or High School Diploma
- Prior experience in new construction plumbing, residential service plumbing, or drain cleaning
