Job Summary
Transport derailed railway cars and locomotives using tractor-trailers or escort vehicles while performing material handling of heavy steel chains, blocks, and cables. Execute physical tasks including climbing and crawling on railroad cars, digging, hammering, and equipment maintenance with cutting torches and welding tools. Lift objects up to 50 lbs frequently and work at heights over 25 feet on bridges, over water, or in water. Maintain equipment through inspections and setup using small and large tools. Operate in an emergency response environment requiring on-call availability 24/7/365 with up to 50% travel. Monday through Sunday on-the-job or at division, with 8-hour days Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- valid Class A CDL with NO restrictions
- valid driver's license
- ability to work on-call 24/7 365 days a year in an emergency response environment
- ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- ability to conduct maintenance inspections on equipment
