Job Summary
Operate the flour mill and coordinate product transfers alongside the Head Miller and Shift Miller while performing quality and food safety checks. Assist with mill changes, daily operations, and equipment repairs as needed, following all GMP, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, and FDA requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and audit-ready environment by adhering to SOPs and the master sanitation schedule. Develop troubleshooting skills to understand material flow and step in for senior operators when required. Full-time position in Roanoke, VA with overtime as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a Respirator Fit Test
- Ability to perform essential job duties while wearing a respirator
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3 years of flour milling, food production, or manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Ability to understand material flow, production processes, and sequences of operations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other computer software
- Willingness to learn and develop the skills necessary for advancement within the milling operation
