Job Summary
Perform new construction, maintain, and repair overhead electrical distribution systems, including installing and fixing power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools while inspecting rubber goods and personal protective equipment. Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and storm conditions, adhering to all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Available for outages, emergencies, and on-call rotation, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Willing to travel long distances on short notice and work extended periods at out-of-state job sites. Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to obtain a CDL within 60 days
- Willingness to travel long distances on short notice
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
- Willingness to work in extreme heat, cold, wet, windy, and storm conditions
- Ability to talk, listen and use hand signals to communicate
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle objects, operate tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Understanding of insulated protective cover to isolate differences of potential
- Understanding of when to wear personal protective equipment
