Apprentice HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary
Assist in a range of refrigeration and HVAC jobs for industrial and commercial customers by performing routine service activities, installation, inspection, maintenance, and repairs. Support specialized equipment troubleshooting, brazing and soldering of refrigerant lines, and charging equipment with refrigerant levels while conducting pre-startup checks. Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and management to diagnose issues and complete jobs efficiently under direct oversight. Requires a valid TDLR and EPA card, current Texas operator's license, and ability to work non-standard schedules in extreme weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- enrolled in a post-secondary HVACR program of instruction of two or more years
- Good verbal and reading skills

- Current Texas operator's license
- ability to operate all vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment
- Ability to work under pressures of time, a non-standard schedule, weather, customer needs, and backlog

- Continuous, concentrated mental and visual effort to plan and perform complex work
- Maintain a valid TDLR card
- Possess a valid EPA card
