Job Summary
Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs oil and propane heating systems while performing efficiency tests, tune-ups, and contract service inspections. Eliminates call-backs by ensuring work meets safety codes and company policies, and promotes Dead River Company products by advising customers on best options. Maintains a neat service vehicle, records parts and labor, and tracks inventory. Participates in night and weekend on-call schedules as necessary and reports accidents or spills. Requires a high school diploma, CETP certification for propane technicians, and valid driver's license. Offers weekly pay, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) match, tuition assistance, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Apprentice, Journeyman or Master designation licensing
- Applicable propane CETP certification
- Valid motor vehicle drivers' license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical
- Oil burner training course or CETP program
- At least one year of relevant oil and/or propane service experience
- Two or more years of relevant oil and/or propane service experience
- Night and weekend on-call schedule availability
