Job Summary
Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician on Ledcor Highways team in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of plows, sanding trucks, loaders, light and heavy construction equipment; perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers; attend service calls in the field; follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures; complete maintenance records and documentation; adhere to Ledcor safety policies. Qualifications include being a Registered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician; experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment is an asset; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug testing; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions including sketches/diagrams; ability to work with minimal supervision. Required Qualifications
- Registered Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician
- Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment (e.g., snowplows) is an asset
- Valid Driver’s License with the ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
- Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including those with sketches and diagrams
