Job Summary
Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice to join Greenstone Mine maintenance team. Responsibilities include assisting with equipment assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete overhauls on heavy mining equipment according to schedule; diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing equipment; interpret work orders and technical manuals; make recommendations regarding extent of repairs and methods of improvement; complete job-specific reports; maintain strong safety awareness and comply with all rules and legislation; collaborate with Supervisors/Journeypersons in Geraldton, Ontario on a rotational shift; require experience in an industrial or mine-site setting, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and possession of a valid driver’s license; supportive of an inclusive work environment. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Enrolled in the Canadian Apprenticeship Program
- Experience in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment
