Job Summary
Apprentice Funeral Director needed to meet with client families, listen and arrange personalized memorial services, manage contracts and paperwork, participate in services, and support training. Responsibilities include on-call/first-call coverage, maintaining accurate client files and forms, using systems to review merchandise options, and engaging in community events to grow market presence. Requires enrollment or recent completion of a Mortuary Science Program, and a valid driver’s license. Carriage Services emphasizes professional and ethical service and equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Just starting mortuary school or recent graduate from an accredited Mortuary Science Program and has passed the National Board Exam.
- Valid state issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
- Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement.
