Job Summary
Apprentice Fire & Security Service Engineer in East Anglia (Wymondham, Norfolk) with Johnson Controls. You will service, commission, and maintain fire and security systems (fire and intrusion alarms, CCTV, access control) across client sites, spend significant time hands-on at residential, commercial, and retail locations, and travel to sites while learning through a mix of college learning (Banham Academy) and mentoring. The role involves field-based work, learning to install and service fire and security equipment, and starting on an apprenticeship programme with a starting salary of £15,600. Ideal candidates have GCSEs in English and Maths, a full UK driving licence, and a readiness to travel and stay away as required; you will join a team dedicated to safer, smarter buildings and gain practical experience toward becoming a qualified fire and security engineer.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 5/C or above)
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to travel and stay away in hotels when needed
- Comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions
- Good physical health
- Happy to travel and work away
- Team spirit, hardworking, good communication, love for technology and engineering
