Job Summary
Perform general maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep duties for Palm Beach Tan retail locations in the St. Louis area, including washing walls, ceilings, and windows, making minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs, and replacing light bulbs. Set up and tear down equipment, change tanning equipment lamps, and assist in shipping and receiving parts. Travel to all St. Louis and greater area locations to complete required work while following safety rules and reporting progress to the supervisor. Variable hours up to full-time depending on abilities and growth potential.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain
- Ability to acquire job skills with three months of on-the-job training
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in building cleaning and maintenance work
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions
- Ability to relate to staff and public in a courteous manner
