Job Summary
Conduct general maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep duties for Palm Beach Tan retail locations in the St. Louis area. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors, and sills; perform minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs. Replace light bulbs, paint touch-ups, and change tanning equipment lamps. Set up and tear down equipment while using hand and power tools for grounds and walks maintenance. Assist in shipping and receiving parts, support staff and customers, and report work accomplished to the supervisor. Travel to multiple locations as needed with variable hours up to full-time.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain
- Ability to acquire job skills with three months of on-the-job training
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in building cleaning and maintenance work
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions
- Ability to relate to staff and public in a courteous manner
