Job Summary
Assist Journeymen and Foremen with conduit installation, wire pulling, cable terminations, and equipment setup for commercial and industrial projects. Read blueprints and schematics to understand layouts, while troubleshooting electrical issues and adhering to NEC requirements and OSHA safety protocols. Load, unload, and organize tools and materials, maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area. Participate in weekly toolbox talks and develop skills through on-the-job training and classroom instruction. Enroll in the IEC Apprenticeship program after probation. Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs regularly
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts at various heights
- Comfortable standing, kneeling, bending, and working in varying weather conditions
- Must possess a basic set of hand tools appropriate for apprentice-level electrical work
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Enrolled in or willing to enroll in IEC Apprenticeship program after probationary period
- Previous commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Construction experience
- Bilingual proficiency
- Basic understanding of electrical tools, construction practices, and a willingness to learn commercial and industrial electrical systems
- OSHA 10 certification
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification within a specified timeframe after hire
