Job Summary
Apprentice Electrician role on a full-time project in Meridian, MS with potential travel to surrounding states. Responsibilities include assisting with and leading small to medium electrical projects (2-4 electricians), applying NEC codes and calculations, installing raceways, boxes, cables, lighting fixtures, devices, switchboards, panels, breakers, and transformers, performing terminations, and conducting basic testing/troubleshooting of electrical systems. Candidates should have experience or training through an apprentice program or formal trade school, possess a high‐school diploma or GED, hold a valid driver’s license, and have OSHA 10 certification. The position offers travel-paid arrangements, per diem, potential for extended work beyond the initial four-month project, and a competitive hourly rate ($30-$38) with full-time benefits. The role requires the ability to read blueprints/schematics, understand NEC, and lead small crews, with on-site work starting in Meridian, MS, and opportunities for additional projects in nearby states.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 8000+ Hours of electrician experience
- Formal trade school or apprentice program completion preferred
- Current OSHA 10 certificate
- Valid state Driver’s License
- Current state Electrical Apprentice license preferred
- Ability to lead small to medium size projects (2-4 electricians)
- Read blueprints and schematics
- NEC knowledge and calculations
- Able to perform bends and install raceways, boxes, cables, lighting, devices, switchgear, panels, transformers
- Basic testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems
- Willingness to travel with project requirements
