Job Summary
Install, assemble, inspect, and test electrical systems for mission-critical infrastructure including wiring, conduit, lighting, panels, and controls. Pull wire, drill holes, mount boxes, and route conduit while reading blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. Perform electrical inspections, testing, and verification; identify and escalate installation or quality concerns. Support troubleshooting, corrective actions, and apprenticeship coursework under the direction of Journeyman and Master Electricians. Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S principles and safety protocols like lockout/tagout. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to communicate production status and job-related issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Enrolled in or eligible to participate in a certified electrical apprenticeship program where required
- Basic understanding of electrical principles, terminology, and construction practices
- Willingness to learn the National Electrical Code (NEC), local electrical codes, and industry standards
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while working under appropriate supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and work instructions
- Basic knowledge of electrical hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment
- Basic knowledge of conduit installation and bending techniques
- Ability to safely operate electrical installation tools and equipment
- Ability to operate personnel lifts and work in manufacturing environments
- Ability to work a full-time schedule with overtime and alternate shifts as needed
- Must be able to hear, speak, and communicate effectively in an active manufacturing environment
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, reach, lift, carry, and work with electrical tools and equipment throughout the workday
- Must be able to work from ladders, personnel lifts, and elevated work platforms
- Must be able to work in an environment with electrical equipment, manufacturing machinery, power tools, moderate noise levels, and industrial conditions
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous electrical, construction, manufacturing, industrial, or skilled-trades experience
- Exposure to data center infrastructure, modular systems, switchgear, power distribution equipment, or industrial electrical systems
- OSHA certification
- NFPA 70E training or certification
- Technical, vocational, or electrical coursework
