Job Summary
Apprentice Electrician will work under a Journeyman Electrician to install and maintain electrical systems per the National Electrical Code, with a focus on safety and learning the electrical trade. Responsibilities include operating power and excavation tools, threading and bending conduit, running wire and cable through raceways, maintaining tools and materials, lifting heavy loads, climbing ladders/scaffolds, and traveling to Nebraska job sites as needed. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, on-the-job training, and daily supervision by a Journeyman Electrician and management; candidates should be eager to grow, listen, and contribute to safe, efficient job site operations.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid Driver's License
- Willingness to listen and learn from other Apprentice Electricians and Journeyman Electricians
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds
- Ability to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
- Travel to jobsites in the Nebraska area as needed
- Operate power tools and excavation equipment
- Terminate circuit and control wiring from low voltage to 480 VAC
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Effective communication with Journeyman Electrician, customers, and company employees
