Job Summary
Operate a commercial refuse or recycling vehicle in accordance with WM Safety, OSHA, and DOT requirements after obtaining a Commercial Driving Permit. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, document checks, and complete end-of-day reporting. Assist drivers with loading, emptying residential and commercial containers, and operating hoisting devices. Communicate customer requests, service interruptions, and safety hazards to Dispatch or the Operations Manager. Immediately report incidents, accidents, or injuries. Attend all scheduled training programs and briefings. Work as an on-route helper until completing all training requirements to become a full WM Driver.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports
- Commercial or Non-commercial Driver's License Class C or D
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- Strictly comply with all safety rules and protocols
