Job Summary
Learn to climb trees using Davey's DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS systems while performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal for major electric utility providers. Prune treetops, repair damaged trees, and remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects according to industry guidelines. Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreman. Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program, First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Valid driver's license required; Commercial Driver's License preferred. Progressive advancement in job classification and wage available.
Required Qualifications
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- valid driver's license
- Up to 25% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement
- line clearance experience or other related tree work
- relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
- full or partial PG&E assessment pass
