Job Summary
The Apprentice Carpenter role involves constructing and maintaining buildings, including laying foundations, prefabrication and erection of formwork for concrete structures, cement work for stairs and framing, assembling materials into frameworks, and performing renovations. Must have two+ years’ carpentry experience, be currently in an Apprenticeship Program, and be knowledgeable in carpentry, building maintenance, safe tool operation, workplace safety, and material and labour estimation. SiteReadyBC training is a prerequisite; multiple locations in BC with in-person work. Company is 100% employee-owned and offers competitive wages and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience as a carpenter
- Currently indentured into an Apprenticeship Program
- SiteReadyBC training is a prerequisite for employment
- Knowledge of carpentry and building maintenance
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
- Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
- Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do material and labour estimates
