Job Summary
Apprentice Building Surveyor required to join our Cambridge office. The role involves supporting the delivery of a range of building surveying tasks under supervision, including condition surveys, measured surveys, preparation of specifications, sustainability reviews, and assisting with contract administration. The successful candidate will gain exposure to heritage projects and historic building conservation, assist with planning and Building Regulations applications (including listed building consent), contribute to tender analyses and project coordination, and develop skills in risk management, cost control, and programme monitoring. Opportunities for in-house coaching, mentoring, and progression over time are provided, with a broad multi-disciplinary team and exposure to RIBA-staged project work. A UK SC clearance or ability to gain clearance is required.
Required Qualifications
- Evidence of Level 2 qualifications in 4 subjects including Maths and English (GCSEs Grade C/4 or above)
- Evidence of at least 112 UCAS Tariff points at Level 3 (A Levels, BTEC National Diploma or equivalent)
- Strong numeracy and literacy ability and data analysis skills
- IT skills and the ability to learn relevant discipline software
- Full clean driving licence
