Job Summary
Apprentice role in data center construction and installation environments. Assist with general construction, assembly, and installation under supervision; support electricians and installers with staging, material handling, and installation of racks, containment systems, cabling pathways, and related components; perform basic tasks with hand and power tools; follow safety rules and participate in safety meetings; learn to read basic drawings and supervisor instructions; travel to project sites and support flexible work schedules to meet project milestones; demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn multiple trades to progress into specialized paths such as Electrical or Installation after about two years.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- 0–1 year of experience; no prior trade experience required (general labor or construction experience preferred)
- Interest in developing a career in construction or electrical trades
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds; basic hand tool familiarity preferred
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to work as part of a team in fast-paced construction environments
- Good safety awareness and ability to follow instructions
