Job Summary
Manage and support PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, and MySQL environments by assisting in installation, configuration, maintenance, and routine monitoring. Create and manage databases, schemas, users, and permissions while executing backup, restoration, and recovery procedures under supervision. Contribute to performance tuning, optimization, and automation of administrative tasks through scripting. Troubleshoot database-related issues and maintain technical documentation for configurations and operational procedures. Gain exposure to high availability, replication, and cloud-based deployment practices while working closely with senior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- 0–1 year of experience in Database Administration, SQL Development, or related areas (internships, academic projects, or certifications are acceptable)
- Strong understanding of DBMS fundamentals and SQL
- Basic knowledge of Linux administration
- Passion for learning database technologies and building a career in database engineering

- Strong foundation in database concepts
- Keen interest in database administration, performance optimization, and high-availability technologies
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Basic understanding of database backup and recovery concepts
- Knowledge of Shell scripting or Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn emerging database technologies such as TimescaleDB and ArangoDB
- Exposure to PostgreSQL, MySQL, or TimescaleDB through academic projects or internships
- Basic knowledge of Git, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills
