Job Summary
Conduct job planning, assist with time and unit sheets, and demonstrate leadership by instructing lower step apprentices on the crew. Perform tasks including communicating with other crew members, conducting job hazard analyses, and assisting the Foreman. Work on transmission line installation, repair using hot sticks and bare hand methods, and operate on de-energized lines while adhering to safety protocols. Mentor apprentices to hone and demonstrate instruction skills, preparing for pre-Foreman leadership. This role focuses on hands-on skills learned through previous steps, with Step seven Apprentices potentially working up to energized primary circuits under observation by a qualified employee.
