Job Summary
Evaluate vehicle damages through image in auto repair facilities and remotely to determine repairability. Create and review written damage appraisals with stakeholders present using damage repair expertise. Source parts availability, quantify loss, and research recommended repair processes. Maintain regular contact with clients and claimants to schedule appointments, discuss procedures, and communicate timelines. Communicate with all stakeholders to approve repairs with vendors and ensure safe, quality outcomes. This role requires 3-5 years of collision repair and estimating experience, a post-secondary diploma, and specific certifications including the Autobody Repair Technician and Physical Damage Appraiser Certificate. Applicants must attain provincial appraiser licenses and knowledge of Mitchel software is an asset. The expected salary range is $60,574 to $100,956 CAD. A background check is required as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of collision repair and estimating business or related experience
- post-secondary diploma
- Autobody Repair Technician or Refinisher Certification
- Physical Damage Appraiser Certificate
- I-Car Platinum Certificate
- expert knowledge of vehicle construction and collision repair techniques and procedures
- provincial appraiser license(s)
- Background check
