Job Summary
Appointment / Therapy Coordinator responsible for answering calls across Physician, Physical & Hand Therapy locations; scheduling, rescheduling and canceling patient therapy appointments; directing calls to proper locations; processing referrals; and performing administrative duties. Must demonstrate professional, compassionate, detail-oriented service with exceptional phone skills, strong communication and customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include registering patients, collecting demographics, verifying insurance, coordinating with billing for eligibility and referrals, scheduling and triaging appointments, communicating policies, and using EMR systems (OptimisPT & Athena) to send messages and manage patient flow. Requires high school diploma, ability to work a call-center style schedule (including occasional Saturdays), strong computer skills, quick typing, and teamwork; bilingual Spanish/Portuguese a plus; travel to multiple sites as needed.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to work in a call center environment
- Effective telephone communication
- Ability to multi-task
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to type quickly
- Willingness to travel to all sites if/when necessary
- Professional, pleasant, cheerful appearance
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
