Appointed Person / Lifting Operations Deck Foreman with Mobile Crane Experience

Job Summary
Coordinate and execute all vessel and platform lifts by planning, controlling, and supervising crane operations in compliance with client procedures. Manage loose lifting equipment inventory, maintain issuance registers, and ensure all test certificates and work permits are current before operations commence. Direct riggers, signalmen, and banksman while conducting daily inspections of lifting gear and risk assessing both routine and non-routine complex lifts. Stop operations immediately if hazards arise or conditions deviate from the approved plan, ensuring adequate lighting for night lifting and proper identification of signallers. Complete daily logs, risk assessments, and documentation while remaining available to delegate duties to competent personnel. Carry out emergency recovery duties and fire standby as required on client platforms.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Relevant oil & gas offshore and onshore lifting-related experience of not less than 10 years in the same area of application
- 5 years in a similar position
- Adequate training and hands on professional experience and be competent to act as an Appointed Person for lifting equipment
- Ability to write Lifting plans
- Ability to supervise and execute critical lifting in oil & gas companies
- Focus on HSE priorities
- Ability to lead a team for Safe Lifting Practices across different locations of the organization
- Familiar with international standard related to Lifting engineering practices
- Sufficient knowledge in interpretation and to bring excellence in Change management
- Self-motivated
- Good Communication Skills
- High standards of workmanship
- Ability to work and react under pressure and tight deadlines
