Job Summary
Define clinical correctness for ML outputs and deploy rigorous evaluations to catch critical errors beyond basic accuracy. Ship production models from experimental notebooks to live services integrated with the RS360 backend. Build population analytics from messy, patient-level monitoring data while accurately accounting for confounders. Establish historical backtesting against human-written notes to build trust with engineering and clinical teams. Handle Protected Health Information safely, balancing data utility with compliance privacy tradeoffs. This role supports the H2 roadmap for clinical AI features, including AI Data Viz and Heart Failure AI, within a US-remote team utilizing asynchronous collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in Python
- Advanced proficiency in PyTorch (or equivalent framework)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Demonstrated experience building and deploying clinical or biomedical ML models
- Experience using EHR data
- Experience using time-series data
- Experience using sensor data
- Experience using imaging data
- Deep comfort dealing with real-world, messy, sparse or weakly labeled device data
- Strong grasp of ML evaluation methodologies
- Strong grasp of data leakage prevention
- Strong grasp of customized metric design
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Advanced degree in related field
