Job Summary
Applied Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning — Vice President leading the ML/AI agenda for Commercial and Investment Banking. Focus on transforming Know Your Customer (KYC) and operations through scalable ML solutions; collaborate with data scientists, operations SMEs, and ML engineers to design, deploy, and maintain production-grade models; drive end-to-end data science capabilities across multiple business use cases; mentor junior team members; communicate AI capabilities and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; document approaches to comply with industry regulation; emphasize partnerships with business domains and software engineering to deliver measurable impact and potential commercialization.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative or computational discipline
- Considerable commercial experience in data science and ML deployment at scale
- Strong Python development and debugging skills
- Strong metrics, benchmarking, and evaluation methodologies for AI/ML-powered products
- Deep knowledge of machine learning algorithms for business problems
- Ability to work independently and with others; mentor junior team members
- Strategic mindset to deconstruct business challenges into AI-driven solutions
- Ability to work in agile cross-functional and operations teams and drive deliverable outcomes
- Ability to convey information clearly to non-specialists and build trust with stakeholders
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Experience with big-data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) or distributed computation (Dask, Modin)
- Hands-on NLP and LLM experience
- Experience creating and deploying microservices
- Knowledge of MLOps concepts (CI/CD, versioning, reproducibility, observability)
