Job Summary
Senior Associate on JPMorgan Chase's Corporate Technology Applied AI/ML team focusing on GenAI and LLM solutions to solve business problems. Responsibilities include collaborating with product managers and ML teams to understand requirements, developing GenAI/LLM solutions, fine-tuning generative models, executing end-to-end model development (data wrangling, training, testing, selection), generating actionable insights from analyses, and communicating capabilities and results to diverse audiences. Keeps current with AI research, leverages external APIs, and applies advanced algorithms to business problems using Python/Spark, AWS, and other systems. Requires strong programming skills, experience with large datasets, and a track record of deploying AI/ML applications in production.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science or related quantitative discipline with 1+ years of relevant experience OR MS/BS in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Practical expertise with LLM projects and other supervised/unsupervised techniques; proven track record deploying AI/ML applications in production
- Proficient programming in Python and SQL; experience with R, Java
- Experience with large and complex datasets
- Experience with ML frameworks and APIs (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, OpenAI API)
- Experience integrating user feedback to refine AI applications
- Strong understanding of statistics and ML fundamentals; transformer architectures
- Ability to identify/address AI/LLM challenges and optimize models for NLP applications
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills
- Experience with engineering teams to operationalize ML models
- Familiarity with prompting strategies (Chain-of-Thoughts, Tree-of-Thoughts, Graph-of-Thoughts)
- Experience presenting results to both technical and non-technical audiences
